Yunnan Trip (Part Ten)

Shall continue my Yunnan Trip post. Abandoned it for quite some time already.

15/8/2013 (Day Six)

Woke up early in the morning and packed our luggage, it was the last day in Shangri-la. Headed to Potatso National Park after we had our breakfast. It was about a 30-minute drive to the national park from our hotel. I kept on pronouncing Potatso National Park as Potato National Park, missing the 'S'.

The national park is a 5A tourist attraction and we took a bus to the attractions after we bought our tickets.

The first stop was Shudu Lake, a plateau lake. Mom and Dad skipped this stop whereas me and brother went down from the bus and trekked about 3km to the northern part of the lake. Shudu Lake in Tibetan language, it means that a lake besides a hill of milk.

The trekking took us about 2 hours to go to northern part of the lake. Hopped onto the bus and went to the next stop. Next stop was supposed to be MiLiTang, but it was closed down for some reasons. Fine, continued to the final stop, BiTa lake.

"BiTa" in Tibetan language means a place with a dense oak forest and "BiTaHai" means a quiet lake. It is the most attractive lake in the national park and about 4.2 km walk.

The view at BiTa lake was just breathtaking. Mountain, clouds and lake have never fail to make a fantastic photography.

Decided to take the boat to the other side of the lake. Walking at an average 3500m above the sea level was so tiring.

We headed back to Lijiang to catch our night train after spending 4 hours in Potatso National Park. The national park is well taken of, there are pathways for people to walk on which prevents people from stepping on the grass.

After Taking A Hiatus

Oh well, it took me long enough to be back to this blog. Anyway, I finished my finals which means that I'm done with my Year 1 LLB (providing that I pass for all the subjects). I've always wanted to become a lawyer (a solicitor to be more precise), probably influence by those HongKong or Singapore dramas. Took law as one of my subjects in A Level and most of my friends were quite surprised when they knew that I took law as one of my subjects. Most of them thought that I would go to Science field as I took science subjects during SPM.

After taking a 3-month break last year, I signed up for UK Transfer Programme in Brickfields Asia College (yeah, the Nation No. 1 Law School). It's one step nearer to my dream to become a lawyer and to go to the UK to study. The 8 months course passed in a glimpse of an eye, it seems like I just stepped into BAC yesterday.

#1 L-R Steph, Me, Nia and SiewHui. Jzlyne was missing in this photo.
Year 1 wouldn't be interesting without them! We are not only mere uni friends, but also friends who are willing to help each other, stand by each other side when anyone of us face problems, making fun of each other.

We went to Sunway Pyramid after our last paper to celebrate Steph's birthday and as well as celebrating the end of our finals. Treated her Thai food, bought her cupcakes from Twelve Cupcakes and yeah, present! The lunch was awesome and had a great time spending with them that afternoon.
