[QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA 2015] - The Golden Coast! (Part 3)

We had a really great view from our balcony. Had a great time whenever we spent our time at the balcony. Having our meals (breakfast and dinner) at the balcony and enjoying the view at the same time. Best feeling ever.

We bought roasted whole chicken from Coles and the chicken was so so tender. Cooked pasta for our late lunch. And bought Rosé wine.

[QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA 2015] - The Golden Coast! (Part 2)

The day's itinerary was quite relaxing. We walked to the Sky Point Observation Deck from the beach. It's easy to locate Sky Point, just see the tallest building in Gold Coast and walk towards that direction.

Sky Point is the tallest building in Gold Coast and it's also one of the world's tallest residential towers. At the level 77, it offers spectacular 360° views from the surf to the hinterland and beyond.

A perfect place in Gold Coast to admire the buildings, the beach, the blue sky, the turquoise-blue sea, tiny people walking on the beach and the tiny cars lining up at the traffic lights.

We stopped at The Coffee Club at Hilton branch for breakfast. The service here was awesome, the staffs were really friendly and welcomed every customer with beautiful smile that would make your day. The food was really good and reasonably priced.

Even during Autumn, beaches in Gold Coast are not to be missed. Because what makes Gold Coast famous are their surf, sun and the white smooth sand. So, how could we miss out on that even if we can't surf? Gold Coast is built right next to a long stretch of beaches, all you have to do is to walk straight towards left/right, and you will eventually reach a beach at some point. We strolled at the beach after breakfast. The life in Gold Coast is so perfect. Definitely a perfect 'lazy man vacation'.

The sea and the sky seem extraordinarily blue in Aussie. It's really quite mesmerising!

[QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA 2015] - IT'S THE DAY!

Finally! Before Chinese New Year, we planned a trip to Gold Coast end of May as a reward for ourselves after finishing our law papers. We waited for almost half a year for this date to arrive! The month we went was considered late autumn. Had a hard time doing my packing as I didn't have enough time to pack. Oh well, last minute packing.

DAY 1 (17/05/2015)

Three of us couldn't really sleep the night before, busy texting each other, reminding each other the things that need to bring. I met up with SiewHui at Premieré Hotel at 4am to catch the bus to the airport. Our flight was at 10am. I know, it was early, but we were so excited, couldn't really feel the tiredness.

We reached the airport at 5.30am, chit chatted at Starbucks while waiting for the slow pok Jaz who arrived at 7.30am. Haha! Checked in our luggage after Jaz arrived and headed to the departure gate straight away.

Our plane got delayed for almost an hour due to the bad weather and I was quite worried because I had already arranged the time with our driver to pick us up from Gold Coast Airport.

IMG_4424

This 8 hours flight is the smoothest flight I've ever take, after the cabin crew served us the lunch, they lifted down the window shades and dimmed the cabin lights. Almost everyone was asleep during half of the flight, though there were times SiewHui woke up and said "I'm hungry". Lol

We arrived at Gold Coast Airport on time and our driver was already there waiting for us. Sent a text message telling our host that we landed and arranged a time to meet the host's friend in front of the apartment. This time we booked our accommodation through Airbnb and the hosts are really friendly. Even though we didn't meet in person, but the hosts sent their friend to wait for us in front of the apartment, showed us the apartment and passed us the keys.

The apartment locates in the perfect location in Surfers Paradise. 5 minutes walk to Cavill Mall, 8 minutes walk to Cavill Avenue tram station and Cypress Avenue tram station, 6 minutes walk to Coles Chevron Renaissance, 6 minutes walk to Woolworths Circle on Cavill and the beach is just a few steps away. Even though the apartment locates in the central location, but it's far enough from the noise.

We headed to Maccas for dinner after we settled ourselves and explored the apartment. Three of us went to bed after our dinner.
