For the last Hari Raya school holidays, I visited Yunnan in China. It was suggested by my dad back in the month of June. In a gist, our trip was a 8-day trip that began in Kunming. Mom and I researched further on the route we were taking after the flights were booked.
10/8/2013 (Day One)
Our flight to Kunming began in Malaysia with AirAsia at around 1.50pm. It was a 4-hour flight and luckily AirAsia took off the flight on time. At around 5.00pm, we reached Kunming Changshui International Airport and we were kinda rushing because we need to go to the Kunming Railway Station to print out our night train ticket to Lijiang.

We could have taken an hour flight to Lijiang from Kunming, but mom decided to be more adventurous and take the train instead to have the experience of night train which we couldn't have it back in Malaysia. The first time to board on sleeper night train, the first time brushing teeth and washing face with strangers together. The 9-hour night train was comfortable even though there were some times the train was a little bit shaky. But still, we slept all the way from Kunming to Lijiang. We reached Lijiang the next morning.
